The Grand Rapids Children's Museum closed on Thursday after a small fire in one of the exhibits.
Firefighters were called to the museum shortly after noon.
GRFD Battalion Chief Rich Clark says the fired appeared to be electrical in nature. The fire started in one of the props and started to climb a wall.
The museum's sprinkler system was activated and was able to contain the fire until firefighters arrived on scene.
The museum will be closed for several days due to smoke and water damage.
