DeVos-owned Italian restaurant opens in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Betsy DeVos has opened a new coastal Italian restaurant in downtown Grand Rapids.

Allora is located near Monroe Avenue and Lyon Street.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held yesterday.

The general manager says the kitchen will use items from local farms and will make its own pasta.

"We're looking to really elevate the dining experience in Grand Rapids, welcome people back into this space and have a great place for people to carry on those conversations and make new friends and experience our great new staff as well," Parker Bulliment said.

The restaurant will occupy the former space of Reserve Food and Wine, which closed last year.
