"We do things like build new cabins. This year, we're putting a ton of money into the waterfront to put ... rooms and accessible docks," said Kim Craycraft, the Y's senior director of Finance, Compliance and IT.
She said on West Michigan's Morning News they have 70-thousand square feet of space.
"We have clothing, housewares, books. We have hardware, building materials. We've got almost three rooms' worth of furniture. We also had 29 brand new above-ground swimming pools donated," Craycraft said.
As for the early bird period, Craycraft told West Michigan's Morning News that people line up outside the doors waiting for the doors to open so they can be the first to find bargains during the early bird period.
"Every year, we have people who start lining up at like 5:30 a.m. It's like Black Friday and the lineup is huge and it's so exciting to watch people come in," she said.
The service club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
