On Friday, the city of Grand Rapids broke ground on a new park located in the Plaza Roosevelt neighborhood
The $2.3 million project located on Cesar E. Chavez Avenue SW near Rumsey Street SW will include a multi-use welcome area with vendor and gathering spaces, play area, public art installations and more.
The city says the project is intended to reflect the culture, history and needs of the neighborhood.
