The city of Grand Rapids is issuing a no burn alert due to dry and windy conditions.
The Grand Rapids Fire Department issued the alert on Tuesday warning residents to stop any outdoor burning including charcoal grills, wood stoves and outdoor fire pits.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources say the alert was issued due to dry and windy weather creating a "very high" risk area.
The city says anyone who violates the alert may be cited or fined.
