WYOMING, Mich. -- The City of Wyoming has issued a Boil Water Advisory for a large section of the city due to a loss of water system pressure.
The affected area is generally north and east of Buck Creek. The city says corrective measures have been taken and pressure has been restored, but some bacterial contamination may have occurred. It says water should be not drunk unless it is boiled for one minute and allowed to cool.
The city says residents should continue using boiled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and preparing food until the all-clear is given.
Some areas in the City of Kentwood were impacted, as well.
More details were provided in a public letter from the city (see attachment).
