Effort to restore Grand Rapids ballpark nearing funding goal

Fans of Valley Field, a nonprofit organization in Grand Rapids, has announced that they have passed the $50,000 threshold for its public brick and wall campaign.

The historic baseball field located on Grand Rapids’ West Side - formerly known as Valley Field and now Sullivan Field - has now raised more than $4 million for renovations, with the ultimate goal still sitting at $5 million.

Once the goal is met, the plan is to have a new plaza, entrance, restrooms and museum to be included within the renovations built at the park in order to commemorate the park's history.
