HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Tulip Time Festival reports record attendance for this year's event that was held May 2 through May 11.

Organizers say the 96-year-old festival drew more than 976,000 attendees, a 30 percent increase over last year's event. It featured more than 4.5 million tulips all over the City of Holland, plus traditional Dutch dancing, live music, parades and more.

The festival sent WOOD Radio a news release chronicling this year's attendance and event details:

This year's festival, held from May 2 to May 11, surpassed previous attendance attendees by 30% over the 2024 Festival.

"We are thrilled to announce that this year's Tulip Time Festival attracted more than 976,000 visitors, marking a historic milestone for our community," said Gwen Auwerda, Executive Director of Tulip Time. "The combination of vibrant tulip displays, engaging cultural events, and favorable weather contributed to this record-breaking turnout."

The festival showcased over 4.5 million tulips adorning the city's parks, streets, and gardens, including the renowned Windmill Island Gardens, home to the Dutch windmill, De Zwaan. Attendees enjoyed a variety of activities such as traditional Dutch dancing, artisan markets, parades, and live performances, celebrating Holland's rich Dutch heritage.

Local businesses experienced a significant boost, with hotels, restaurants, and shops reporting increased patronage. The festival's economic impact is estimated to exceed $50 million, benefiting the Holland community and surrounding areas.

"The overwhelming response to this year's festival underscores the enduring appeal of Tulip Time and its significance to both residents and visitors," Auwerda added. "We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making this event a resounding success."

Planning for the 2026 Tulip Time Festival is already underway, promising new attractions and continued celebration of Dutch culture and the beauty of spring. For more information and updates, please visit www.tuliptime.com.
