ALPINE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A machine operator has died after an on-the-job incident at River City Metal Products in Alpine Township.
It happened May 20.
MIOSHA says the 71-year-old got knocked over while cutting steel tubes.
"After the banding was cut, the tubing collapsed and struck the victim's legs, causing them to fall and hit their head," MIOSHA said in a statement.
The worker died at the hospital four days later.
