Michigan State Police say a teen suffering a mental health crisis opened the rear door of a bus near Greenville and attempted to climb in.
The incident happened around 6:15 a.m. as a Flat River Academy bus was slowing to turn at a traffic light. The teen grabbed the handle for the rear emergency door and opened the door, setting off an alarm.
The driver went to the back of the bus and stopped the teen from entering the bus and closed the door.
MSP says they were already looking for the 17-year-old who allegedly damaged the windows of two businesses.
