Renovations planned for the former UICA building in downtown Grand Rapids aim to preserve its history while also adding some modern flair.
The project leaders, Detroit-based Bamboo Cowork, recently acquired the building, which is located at 2 Fulton St. neat Division Avenue. They held an informational meeting today where they revealed the intial renderings for what will be a $3.1 million renovation project of the building.
The plan is to is have the renovations for the Grand Rapids location complete by November, which will include a reopening of the building's theater, gallery space and rooftop patio.
