HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Holland Department of Public Safety says a man died while working at LG Energy Solutions over the weekend.
Officials say officers and fire fighters were called to the plant shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday. Crews arrived on scene and found the body of the victim partially stuck in a machine. Officials say due to the injuries the victim was clearly deceased and no life saving measures were attempted.
The victim has been identified as Kim Jung Won of Korea. Won was an employee of a vendor company working on the automation of the machinery at the facility.
LG Energy Solution says the machinery the employee was working on has been suspended until safety is ensured.
The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration was contacted and is investigating the incident.
