GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A home in Grand Rapids Township was reportedly destroyed in a Sunday morning fire.

Crews were sent to Westchester Drive and Kenmoor Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

Yesterday's heat and humidity led to a response from multiple agencies.

" I think we’ve had six fire departments already here just for a small fire," Lt. Ken Remijn told WOOD-TV.

A boy with special needs was inside the home and was transported to the hospital, but there were no injuries reported.

The fire is still under investigation.
