Black River Public School families were forced to adjust drop-off and pickup routines as the new school year begins due to ongoing construction.
Construction was originally scheduled to be completed by the first day of school, but complications forced construction to go longer than planned.
The city of Holland is resurfacing Columbia Avenue, which lies just outside the K-12 charter school. Although sidewalks were poured Monday just in time for Wednesday’s first day of classes, gravel still currently lies on the road where there should be pavement. Construction was originally scheduled to be completed by the first day of school, but complications forced construction to go longer than planned.
