GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Cornerstone University baseball player Joshua Darst died while working an internship at Ohio's Cincinnati Open, local news agencies in Cincinnati said.

Darst was a senior at Cornerstone.

He reportedly fell off a motorized cart near the loading dock of a tennis center in Mason, Ohio.

Darst will be honored on campus during the school's first chapel service of the academic year.

"Our community is deeply saddened by the loss of Joshua Darst, a senior and cherished member of our baseball team, who tragically passed away this week," Cornerstone said in a post on social media.
