Rockford will soon be offering a brand-new early childhood center.
Parkside Early Childhood Center has a new age-appropriate playground and refurbished classrooms to 4- and 5-year-olds in the area. The new center replaces what was Parkside Elementary.
Rockford Public Schools cited lower enrollment numbers at Parkside Elementary as one of the reasons for the replacement and merging with Valley View Elementary.
