ALLENDALE (WOOD-AM) - More than 4,000 freshmen are moving in to Grand Valley State University this week.
It's one of the school's ten-largest incoming classes.
Many of the students arrived on campus in Allendale yesterday, getting checked in and moved in to their on-campus housing.
Jenny Hall-Jones, the vice president of student affairs, says the line of cars can get frustrating, as it can take some time to get checked in. But once they get up to their residence hall, they'll have plenty of help.
“We have to work with parking and police force, the city of Allendale think about traffic coming in,” she said. “We have all the (resident advisers), all the student leaders helping to welcome and take care of the students."
Hall-Jones says they start planning for this week about six months before.
