GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- In observance of the holiday, the City of Grand Rapids says most of its offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the next day, November 28.
All city offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 1. The Grand Rapids Public Library will be closed on Thanksgiving Thursday, as well. All branch offices will be open on Friday, November 28.
In addition, the city's refuse, recycling and yard waste curbside collections will be delayed one day because of the holiday.
The yard waste drop-off site on Butterworth Street will be closed Thanksgiving Day. It will be open Friday and Saturday.
