BARRY COUNTY, Mich. -- An investigation is underway after a Barry County home was hit by gunfire early Thursday morning (November 27). According to Michigan State Police, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Dowling Road and Bird Road in Baltimore Township. Occupants in at least one of two vehicles in the area began shooting at a stop sign, and a bullet entered a nearby home, striking the wall between the bunk beds of two sleeping children. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Authorities have not yet identified any suspects or made any arrests. Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify those responsible.
