MSP: Human remains found in Otsego Township are that of 48-year-old woman

OTSEGO TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Michigan State Police say some human remains found November 13 in Otsego Township have been positively identified as that of a missing woman.

State troopers did a welfare check that day behind a home on M-89 north of 106th Avenue, after the 48-year-old woman had not been seen for a couple of weeks. She had been reported missing. That's when the remains were found and taken to a lab for analysis.

Investigators say they don't know yet how she died and are waiting for the lab results to come back, and for more information from the medical examiner.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the State Police Wayland Post at 269-792-2213.
